Paul Wallace takes a first look at what is being billed by some as the last of the great V12 supercars – the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ.
So – what do we know about the Aventador SVJ?
Well, Lamborghini have taken arguably the most iconic supercar of the last decade and turned everything up to 11. They are remaining tight-lipped even after the reveal at Pebble Beach, but here’s what we do know.
40% more downforce than the Aventador SV with new bodywork and a new version of Lamborghini’s ALA active aerodynamics, first seen on the Huracan Performante.
Normally aspirated 760 bhp V12 engine – you’ll miss them when they’re gone, it’s the last ever non-hybrid Lambo V12.
Nurburgring lap record holder – 6:44:97
20 more bhp and touch more torque than the SV.
Lighter than the SV – Lamborghini haven’t disclosed the details yet.
Sharper handling but more forgiving suspension than previous Aventadors .
Production numbers – not yet known.
Enjoy a walk around of the SVJ with Lamborghini afficionado and Magnitude customer Paul Wallace of Supercars of London at Salon Prive 2018.
